This client got an estimate from Renewal By Andersen to replace all of their old, rotting, single-pane windows with expensive, custom-sized replacement windows. But I saved them thousands by ordering standard-sized Andersen windows that were very close to the same size as their existing windows. All windows conformed to egress codes, and slight adjustments to the framing/window openings, along with minor drywall repairs, were needed. On the exterior, I replaced the cedar shake siding and insulated backer-board that surrounded the windows, and matched the exterior paint color perfectly. When it was done, you would never know they had their windows replaced beyond the fact that they now had beautiful, new, energy-efficient Andersen windows, and saving on their heating and cooling costs.
